The Fire Wombat

Written by Jackie French, The Fire Wombat was published in 2020 by Angus&Robertson, an imprint of HarperCollins. Jackie wrote this story in the aftermath of the Black Summer bushfires, and was inspired by a little Fire Wombat that stumbled onto her property while escaping the devastation. The Fire Wombat is a CBCA Notable for 2021 and has also made the ABIA longlist.
